Yeah, I find myself having to delete old characters alot more than make new ones, Guild Wars is the only game I've ever actually played multiple ones at the same time, and amazingly GW technically has the least amount of classes, when you factor in the difference the prim. attributes, runes, and armor makes. At least the inclusion of a PvP char only slot (or just a fifth, though I think four is enough and this would entice non-PvPers to try it out by having an obviously opened slot) would really go a long way, as it stands to get the most out of the game, you have to make rather early calculated decisions about using three slots all with different class combinations to get the most out of the game, which can be severely limiting.
Two though would work wonders, giving the chance to use a primary RP'er of each class type, other MMOs often enough offer 8, and granted this isn't meant to be like other MMOs I think we can all agree this really is not a valid defense since it is a convenience, not a mechanism seen in everything else.

I have allocated the slots as: one for my ascended character (once I get there), one to raise another, one for PvP-only, and one for experiments.
When my second ascend, I much choose which of them to keep before I start a third.
I think it is better to play one character to ascension, instead of starting multiple characters at once. If you play one through, the beginning areas will feel more fresh.

They could charge something, like 2 dollars an extra character slot up to 10 slots for life. That would make them some extra cash.

More characters would be nice but its not really all that needed as Dergol said in his post I've got my Ascended Mo/Me in the first slot got another RP Char that I play around with in the second slot. My PvP only Me/W is in the third and the fourth is the one that I usually use for testing builds

Since I only have one Avatar and only plan (and have the time) for one. Doesn't bother me... but an extra 2 slots would be good I guess... you people have far too much time on your hands.

More character slots would be nice indeed.
I already have one character past ascension and one half way there.
Then I have my pvp and one for experiments.
I could sure do with 2 more slots
Maybe they could add it in an expansion as something you have to unlock.
Like finding a special item that will give you 1 more character slot.

Thread necromancy so as not to start a new thread.
I don't need more PvE slots, I'm fine with running 4 characters and deleting them if I need to change. I'd like PvP characters not to use up my slots though.
1.) They don't need to track explored areas, quests done etc....
2.) They don't need to track "known skills" for each PvP character, they have the skills that you have unlocked, so it is easily tracked already.
3.) They don't have inventories really, so no need to track all the possible objects and store what's in all those packs.
Really, PvP characters should take a lot less storage space in a way, as they don't need all the things that PvE characters need. It boils down to a very small number of things - your look, armour and weapon and what skills you have equipped/attribute selection.

Half joking, half not. Joking about the part with them needing more money, not joking about being willing to pay 2 dollars for an extra slot.
Of course, they would be better free. But i'd be willing to pay that much for one.
